Our Funding Sources

SACL is a non-profit, charitable association. SACL receives funding from the BC government, through Community Living British Columbia (CLBC). In addition, SACL applies for grants and conducts fundraising events such as raffles on an ongoing basis. Donations are also accepted and are greatly appreciated.

Accessing SACL Support Services

Services are available to people who have been referred and deemed eligible by Community Living BC (CLBC).

Once a person has been referred to us by CLBC, the following process will apply:

  • The person will be asked to provide us with an application form and a medical assessment from their family Doctor.
  • The person will participate in an intake/information meeting with SACL staff and people important to the person such as their family. During the meeting we will discuss programs and the person’s interest in them. We will also discuss areas of strength and areas for growth.
  • Placement in services, supports or housing is dependent on space being available. The person may be waitlisted until a space becomes available.
